Really? I always thought so until today.
I just picked up a Nintendo Wii and Mario Galaxies. (I hate that game, by the way.)
While chatting with my friends about why Bowser was always going after The Princess, I got to wondering why. I’d made a glib comment about how she looked good in a dress, and then realized I was right.
Bowser had been trying to force himself on The Princess for years.
He’s always kidnapping her and taking her off to his castle. Where he shoves her in a room all by her lonesome except when he decides to visit her.
What I’m saying is that Bowser rapes The Princess.
. . . And we show this to our kids without thinking twice about it.
Oh man I lololololed so much.
I guess this makes Mario the hero for all rape victims, though. He’s always saving The Princess from her rapist, always kicking his ass, and then always taking her home. All without ever being a dick to her for being raped. That’s totally awesome of him.
You’d think he’d have made her sign up for a self-defense class or something, though. Or maybe she’d have done so herself. I mean, geeze. She’s been kidnapped how many times over the past 20 years?
. . . Oh man. What if she likes it?!

Looks awesome as hell.
There’re quite a few videos up about it on YouTube; I suggest taking a look at them.
Also, Blizzard knows how to build a fuckin’ site, man. Their Diablo 3 site is kick ass. So, by the way, is the video-demo they did of the game. Compared to the former Diablo games, this is an obvious improvement.
Blizzard seems to be cranking out yet another fantastic game.

Okay. I love this.
They’ve made a bed that has WiFi, an iPod Dock (meh), Surround Sound Speakers, and LCD proejector, dual temperature controls and DVR capabilities.
This bed even fights snoring!
Mind you, it’s going to cost between 20k and 50k USD, depending on the model you get, it’ll still be a kick-ass gadget that any tech-guy (or gal) will want to have in their bedroom, in my opinion. I’d love to have one of these things.

That’s right, someone’s taking on Sony and Nintendo. At the same time.
This article by Engadget is allll about the patent which is in and of itself mildly interesting. The really cool part is the people who responded.
Fanboys are so predictable, as are haters. They’ve begun flaming each other like crazy gang members; each side firing off half-assumed knowledge and in the process looking like complete idiots to the rest of us.
But then, what else is a fanboy for than to amuse the masses?

Sony blames the format wars; their need to get a product out on the floor as quickly as possible. However, that’s not nearly a good enough excuse for this.
Sony Blu-ray DVD’s won’t play in old Blu-Ray DVD players soon. That’s because Sony shipped their product way too soon in order to compete with Toshiba’s HDDVD lineup.
With all the talk about HDDVD losing to Blu-ray; maybe this is the kick in the crotch that Toshiba needed to find; if they’re smart they’ll use this info to attack Sony’s Blu-ray format as-is and get people to start buying HDDVD.
Possible tag-line:
“Why pay $350 or more for a player that won’t work in 2 years time? Bank with a product that will last”
Sony says that the PS3 is about the only player they’d recomend at the moment; it is most likely going to be able to play Blu-ray DVD 2.0 and above; which current players likely won’t.

Sony has fantastic news for potential investors. They’ve managed to slice production costs of the PS3 in half! This could mean that they might actually manage to start recuperating some of the loss they’ve accrued from the system over the past year and some change.
That’s good news for investors, mind you. It could also be good for Sony’s Blu-ray format; if they can keep costs this low for a while and manage a price cut into there, (under 300 bucks,) it might just be the final kick that Blu-ray needs to become the dominant form of High-Def DVD’s.

I already get sick of Guitar Hero fanboys who talk like they know how to play, but this is just going to make it worse. It’s a novel idea, but not one I’d want to see implemented.
Also, it’s going to have a hefty price tag.

That’s right. Someone put Mario into Halo 3. It uses graphics from the Halo Zero graphics, (A 2D fan-based game.) and some default Mario graphics for an interesting idea in the crossover world. I was informed of this game from looking at Hawty McBloggy’s blog. Highly entertaining and informative.

I figured I would make the first blog post here about this game, since I just beat it 25 minutes ago from the time I started writing this.
I was pleased with the game. From the start they pull you in with an engaging first level and the excitement doesn’t abate until the end.
Unlike the last game, this one has far fewer cut-scenes in it, and those that it does have are usually kept short.
Remember, when you beat it, watch after the credits.
This game was stellar. I’m pleased with it.
