People weren’t meant to do anything. It’s the most boring platitude ever, only meant to ease the pain of people who don’t get what they want.
Which is stupid; people shouldn’t need to be coddled. If you don’t get the job you want, or you don’t get the raise, or you get fired, you shouldn’t need to be told that you were meant for something else, something better, in order to be able to get through the day. It’s weak, it’s cowardly, and it’s downright ridiculous because if you were meant for something, then you wouldn’t have the ability to make decisions.
I like free will, thank you very much.

This is my half of a conversation.
Damadar: I made fun of someone for losing their kid during birth.
Damadar: That’s how awful I can get when I’m in a bad mood.
Damadar: Just know the possibility is there and the probability is that I will eventually take you to the lowest point in your life then stomp on your face with my boot.
Damadar: I won’t feel bad about it afterwards.
Damadar: I’ll just recognize that it was bad and move on. I won’t ask you for forgiveness.
Damadar: You shouldn’t forgive someone if they don’t feel bad.
Damadar: I’m just telling you. Build a wall so it won’t hurt as much if it happens.

And there’s so much that I don’t know.
I don’t know how to play the Trombone, or how to explain the inner workings of how an atom holds itself together. I don’t understand the reason why people feel I’m worth talking to when I’m being cruel to them, and I don’t understand why the world thinks it’s okay to ask and ask and ask without ever giving anything in return.
The most frustrating thing about not knowing, is not knowing because someone else doesn’t know. It’s even worse when you don’t know what it is you want from them, and they don’t know what it is they want from you.
Sometimes I think my world plays tricks on me just to see how I’ll react.

I’m afraid of not knowing.
I can admit when I don’t know something, but the idea of not knowing what I want to know terrifies me.
Weird, I know.

One of the great things about picking the wind as your opponent in a fight is that the wind can’t really be stopped. As much as you hit back at it, as much as you resist it, there’s always more wind to throw at you.
The other great thing about the wind is that it can really hurt you. It can knock you down. It can break you. It can kill you. An unstoppable, deadly enemy that you can never win against. This is why the wind is a perfect enemy.
It holds no grudge, so the fight is clean. It has no thought, so the fight is pure. It has no desire, so there is no bargaining.
To fight against the wind is to push yourself to lose, because you know you can’t win. The most you can do is hide. Hide behind walls and wait for it to go away.
I just wish it punched harder tonight.

I like to put a lot of thought into why I do things. Right now I am sitting on the couch, trying to think of something to write.
I just shut my pc off. Don’t really know why. So I guess I could be thinking about that.
Typing on my iPod Touch should be getting easier the more and more I do so, but it hasn’t.
Oh well.
